Bougies la Francaise
Made in France, lovingly crafted, since the 1900's, Bougies la Francaise is known for beautiful quality and fragrance blends. Sculptured candles and whimsey draw your attention, but the basic candles produced for over 100 years bring customers back each month. Their candles and fragrances are so divine that they are the private label manufacturer for premium brands such as: Gucci, Luis Vuitton, L'Occitane, and Prada to name a few.
The Perforated Tapers (above) still in the line after 100 years, burn about 7 hours, and are made with drilled channels to catch drips and re-burn the wax. The box of 20 retails for $29 and the box of 8 for $16. Their colored unscented tapers come in 32 colors in either 8" or 10" at $1.80 and $1.45. Prices have gone down in 2010, on an average of 25% and shipments leave the Kentucky hub every 2 weeks.
Jar candles are 50/50 vegetable and food grade parafin wax. The palm wax is sustainably harvested from non GMO 'RSPO' palm forests, so that trees are re-forested. Otherwise, wax is all European in origin, saving consumers from the benzene found in so many 'economy' waxes. Fragrances are from the perfume capital of the world, Grasse, France.
